Poker Sternament

I have been so unbelievably busy the past few weeks that I haven’t had much time to blog. I tried to post my regular Saturday entry last weekend but instead I spent the weekend perfecting my online photo gallery:

http://www.siroker.com/gallery

If a photo says a thousand words, then this gallery has almost half a million words. I wish I had time to add captions to the photos, but instead feel free to add your own comments to each individual photo.

The latest addition to the photo gallery is the “Poker Sternament”. I ran a no-limit Texas Hold ‘em tournament for Twain and the other five dorms that comprise Stern Hall. We started with 40 players and played for at least three exhilarating hours. Luckily, I was knocked out early enough for me to be able to focus on running the tournament. Keeping five poker tables running simultaneously was intense. I doubt I’ll be able to play in future tournaments if we have such a large turn-out again. Nonetheless, good times were had by all.

Here are the top 12 finishers:

  1. Brian Inouye ($100)
  2. Anant Uinjamoori ($70)
  3. Jason Prado ($50)
  4. Daniel Barney ($40)
  5. Joel Lewenstein ($30)
  6. Nima Ghamsani ($30)
  7. Andrew Ow ($20)
  8. Romito Guerra ($20)
  9. Maurice Zissen ($10)
  10. Gregory Cuellar ($10)
  11. Jonathan Hofius ($10)
  12. Nick Fram ($10)

Congratulations to all of you! I really hope I ran a fun tournament and I look forward to doing another one soon. Please leave me a comment if you have any feedback.
